A little about us and how we work for you
We started this firm when we noticed the widening gap between tax planning and managing cash flow in a business. No one likes a tax surprise that drains your bank accounts. Taxes can be one of the biggest hits to your cash flow and you need to know where you stand throughout the year. That means you need an accountant that communicates with you and is responsive.
If it’s our first year together, we get you caught up and then get started on setting you up going forward so you avoid the year-end chaos. One way we do this is by connecting with you throughout the year. We will also go over your business books and specific benchmarks to see how they impact your individual taxes. You can choose a monthly, quarterly or mid-year check-in. For all businesses, we highly encourage a year-end check-in between October and December. This is to make sure you get all your year-end deductions. When a year closes, it also closes a lot of opportunities for tax write-offs you could have gotten.
If you choose to have fewer check-ins throughout the year we still highly encourage that you call us before making any big decisions that impact your taxes and your cash flow. For some odd reason, everyone likes to give tax advice. It’s probably due to the vagueness and complexity of tax law that it leaves it open to interpretation. If that advice is wrong it can lead to costly mistakes to you, not the random person who gave you the advice. So please call us first. It’s less costly to stop a tax mess then it is to clean it up.

Gwendolyn Lynch CPA
Owner
Gwendolyn Lynch, CPA has been in public accounting since 2007. She has also worked in private industry as a CFO in a coffee company. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master in Finance and Accounting.
Coming from a business background, she came into public accounting having a clearer understanding of what a business owner was looking for. She has helped many small businesses dig out of the trenches, design an effective system and thrive. She has extensive experience preparing Corporate, S-Corporation, LLC/Partnership and Individual tax returns. She started AVET CPA P.C. under the core belief that a tax return should not be a year-end surprise. Business owners have ups and downs with cash flow and need someone on their team to help them reach their specific goals.
In her spare time, she finds any excuse to drink coffee, hangs out with her family and takes too many pictures of her 3 dogs.
